La Embajada de los Estados Unidos de América en Guatemala invitó a nuestra Directora a esta interesante conferencia realizada el día 4 de octubre en las instalaciones de la Universidad Galileo; información importante que apoya el trabajo en prevención a estudiantes de Instituciones Públicas, que realiza Cristo Para Todas Las Naciones a través del Proyecto JOEL.
La conferencia fue impartida por el Dr. James Copple, con un doctorado en Educación, por la Universidad de Kansas. También es escritor y posee una larga carrera en el trabajo con juventud y educación, experto en la prevención de violencia en la juventud, drogadicción y justicia juvenil, entre otros.
Damos gracias a Dios porque nos hemos distinguido como una Organización Cristiana responsable que trabaja en prevención a través del Proyecto JOEL y porque la invitación y participación en estos eventos nos preparan para ser eficientes en nuestra labor preventiva. Rebeca de Franco tuvo la oportunidad de hacer entrega entre los asistentes a este evento quienes son directores o parte de organizaciones que trabajan en prevención en Guatemala de los folletos con los temas «Superando el Consunmo de las Drogas» y «Alcoholismo» y de esta manera darnos a conocer.
