En el Centro de Salud de San Rafael II Zona 18, Rebeca de Franco, nuestra directora y María Rebeca Franco, voluntaria de Proyecto JOEL, visitaron este Centro el día 25 de agosto, con el propósito de llevar el mensaje de esperanza a más de 100 personas incluyendo niños, que llegaron a la jornada del Día de la Salud Reproductiva. Damos gracias a Dios porque a través de la trabajadora social Lilian Colón, pudimos compartir nuestros folletos y dar consejería a los que asistieron a la actividad.
María Rebeca, utilizando el folleto «MI PEQUEÑO LIBRO DE CONSEJOS» trabajó con los niños algunos de los valores que en varias oportunidades ha desarrollado en Escuelas. El folleto «El Reto de Ser Joven» se entregó a 28 alumnos de 5to. Primaria Sección «B» de la Escuela San Rafael II La Laguna Zona 18 que participaron en el acto cívico de apertura. A la maestra de este grado, nuestra directora le informó sobre Proyecto JOEL y como puede implementarse para el año próximo en su escuela.
En esta actividad la señorita Vilma Arreaga, Técnica en Salud Reproductiva que labora para el Ministerio de Salud Pública, quién nos apoyó como voluntaría asignada por el Centro de Salud; al final de la actividad Arreaga expresó a de Franco su deseo de formar parte del equipo de voluntarios de nuestro ministerio.
